STAGE MANAGEMENT
King Lear
Production Assistant
West Virginia University
Spring 2021
In my first role at West Virginia University, I was asked to be a Production Assistant on the collaborative film project between the WVU Theater Department and West Virginia Public Theater. With filming taking place in March and April of 2021, strict Covid-19 safety procedures were in place, including a mask protocol and testing three times a week.

My primary job as Production Assistant was to run the slate before filming. This allows the editors to synchronize the audio and video during post production.

With many safety precautions and trained supervisors off camera, we were able to execute a scene with the actors seated around a real fire.

Stage Management Principles
Fall 2020
For our final project for my Stage Management class during my first semester at WVU, we were tasked with making all of the documents we would need for a production of Water by the Spoonful. I had to use Microsoft Excel to make most of them and had to convert them all into PDFs for submission.

A Charlie Brown Christmas Jr.
Stage Manager/Scenic Painter
Theater West End
Winter 2019
In my second opportunity as Stage Manager, I worked with our all-female children's cast of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Most of the props and costumes were borrowed from other theaters, and it was my job to keep track of everyone's costumes and props to make sure everything was returned at the end of the run.

Used before each show to make sure that props were put in their place for the run and were stored back on the prop table at the end of the night.

Since most of our props were borrowed from other theaters who had already done the production, the prop list was critical in maintaining organization to ensure the props went back to their rightful owners.

Described the entrances and exits of each actor. This was especially helpful for child actors who did not remember their when they were on stage.

There were very few costume changes in the show, but we had to make sure that every one in the cast knew what pieces would be provided to them and what pieces we were providing, again, borrowed from other theaters.

Frozen Jr.
Stage Manager/Props Supervisor
Theater West End
Summer 2019
Since I had little experience with Stage Management, I volunteered with a local children's production to learn the position in a less formal environment. This 3-week summer camp production strengthened my communication and people skills.

This page from my script shows the sound cues and lighting cues that I called during the show, as well as stage directions I notated for the young performers.

On the other side of my script, I had a page for notes and stage directions, which included a box for plot diagrams.

The first draft of my Scene Breakdown to help the actors with the flow of the show. Many of the children knew their lines but were unsure of when to come on stage.

I created this prop list to organize the numerous props in the show and track the progress of the props as they got purchased or made.

As Props Master and Stage Manager, this props list was essential to ensuring the safe-keeping of all of the props, as well as teaching the actors about responsibility and taking care of their own props.

After discussing the course of the rehearsal with the director, I created this fun, easy-to-read, schedule for the performers so we could all stay on task.

I created some graphic designs to promote our show, which I posted on social media.
